Mary Ince is a visual artist specializing in printmaking and drawing. Her inspirations are gleaned from the physical nature of feelings and emotions that emerge from her daily observation of life.

Her paper sculptures are created from overlays of heavy paper or drafting film.  Using reflected light, she creates shadows of white values or faintly colored reflection on these surfaces.

Born in California into an artistic, musical family, she graduated from a small liberal arts college with a major in Graphic Arts concentrating on printmaking. Upon retiring to Cape Cod in 1999, she renewed her love for the printing process. She now works in several different genres. Much of her print work involves the figure, organic forms, and abstracts. Color plays an important part in her prints. Her drawings employ pen and ink, graphite, charcoal, and watercolour crayon on paper and Mylar.
